A vibrant and ambitious Bristol-wide strategic health research and innovation partnership that leads to health improvements for the people of Bristol, the UK and beyond.

- To foster excellence in people and infrastructure that impact on health-related research and innovation
- To develop Bristol’s reputation for excellence and promote it nationally and internationally
BRIG-H Partners
BRIG-H Leadership and Management Structure
The Chief Executives and Vice-Chancellors of the six BRIG-H partner organisations meet regularly as the Bristol Health Leadership Executive. They have established BRIG-H and is driving our agenda forward. BRIG-H is managed by a Strategy Board, chaired by Professor Peter Mathieson, Dean of the Medicine and Dentistry, University of Bristol. Each partner is represented on the Strategy Board by their Research Director or equivalent:
- Andrew Dick - University of Bristol
- Robin Means - University of the West of England
- David Wynick - North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust
- Peter Brindle - NHS Bristol
- Julian Walker - Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust
The Leadership and the Strategy Board is supported by a Programme Manager, Jenny Knapp and the BRIG-H Operational Board made of up of senior R&D managers from all the partners.
