What is it?

The Sanctuary Scholarship offers opportunities for those from refugee and asylum-seeking communities to study at the University of Bristol.

The scholarship offers support towards the costs of higher education.

You may have faced barriers to accessing education in the past, but don't let this stop you from applying.

The Sanctuary Scholarship takes into account different educational backgrounds and language abilities.

How do I apply?

Eligible students can complete the online Sanctuary Scholarship application form.

Please note: the application form cannot be accessed properly on smart-phones, so applicants are advised to access the application form via a laptop or desktop PC.

What can I study?

You can study one of the following courses:

  • Full-time foundation degree programmes
  • Full-time and part-time undergraduate degrees (3 year or 4 year degrees)
  • Full-time and part-time postgraduate Master's programmes (MA, MSc or MRes)
