The Nicholls Arts Bursary

The University of Bristol is pleased to announce The Nicholls Arts Bursary for 2017-18, which will provide a living cost bursary of £2,500 for two first year undergraduate students studying a single or joint honours Theatre course in the Department of Theatre.

The bursary is open to Home/UK undergraduate students who have not previously been to university. Applicants must have a household income of £25,000 or less (verified by details held by the Student Loans Company).

David Nicholls has established The Nicholls Arts Bursary to support gifted students of Theatre to pursue their studies at the University of Bristol, regardless of their financial circumstances.

"My time at Bristol was entirely life-changing, but was only made possible by the grant that I received at the time. I’m passionate that arts education should be open to all, and hope that these bursaries will go some to easing financial worries and encouraging future applications."
