Why Study With Us

We presently have over 70 full and part time students studying with us, including people following on from their first degree, professionals gaining further career experience, and people seeking a change of career direction. Strong career prospects
You’ll have extensive opportunities for networking and making contacts. Our graduates are highly successful in gaining employment in a range of areas. First destinations include further research, health promotion, and the health and fitness industry.

Concentrated teaching
MSc teaching is ONLY on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each unit of study is taught on four consecutive Tuesdays or Thursdays, 9.30 to 4.30.

No exams
Courses are assessed by assignments.

Flexible study options
You can study full-time (1-year) or part time (up to 2 years). We take applications year-round. You can come and see us by arranging a meeting with the programme leader.

A wide range of tutors
Much of the course is taught by department staff, the rest by other experts, some who are active professionals in the field.

An emphasis on transferable skills
T
hroughout the course we encourage and promote transferable skill development  in writing, IT, presenting and research .

Vocational Qualifications
In addition to studying for your MSc, there is also the opportunity to study for a vocational qualification.
