RAE 2008 Results

The results of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) confirm the Centre's position as one of the top centres of international research excellence within the field of physical activity, nutrition and health research.  ENHS was rated 3rd in the UK, and entered all eligible research active staff for assessment.

55% of the Department’s research activity is considered to be in the top two categories (4* and 3*) and when including the 2* category (defined as ‘recognised internationally’), 90% of research done within ENHS has been rated of international standard.

Furthermore, the University has recognised the work of ENHS as within a small group of research areas at the University who have ‘achieved particular distinction’ on its news page where Bristol University is confirmed as a world leader in research.
