Frequently asked questions from surgeries
Who do I get in touch with if I have a query about Project OPAL?
As a first point of contact, please contact the project manager Jo Coulson.
Our surgery is keen to get involved in more research – can we help?
We successfully recruited the 12 surgeries we needed for Project OPAL. However, we’re hoping to build on the work of the project into the future. We’re particularly keen to nurture relationships with local service-providers, be they GP surgeries, charities or other organisations. If you’re interested in being involved in this exciting work into the future, please also contact Jo Coulson.
How can I get the results from Project OPAL?
Our findings will be coming out over the next few months. Keep up to date by visiting our publications page.
Don’t I remember something about you coming back?
Yes. Although phase 1 has finished with all 12 partner surgeries, we asked participants for their permission to look at their medical notes. We will need confidential access to participants’ records for information relevant to the study, including past service usage. We hope we can count on your continued support at that stage, which will be approximately 2½ years after initial recruitment. We aim to keep this last part of the research as streamlined as we can.
