Language Requirements

We welcome your application and thank you for your interest in postgraduate study here at the University of Bristol.

Please be aware that there are Centre language requirements for overseas students. These requirements are relevant to students who have been taught in countries where English is not the main language for teaching. This usually excludes students from countries such as Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Holland etc.

All offers of places for study are conditional upon achieving a minimum 6.5 score for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Before any such offer can be confirmed all international students will be required to provide documentary proof of having attained this standard. Normally this will be required by September of the year of entry.
