Bristol Composites Institute (ACCIS) Academic awarded EPSRC Research Fellowship
27 February 2018
Dr Valeska Ting has been awarded a prestigious five-year, £1.2M Research Fellowship from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), which will commence on 1 April 2018.
Bristol Composites Institute (ACCIS) academic Dr Valeska Ting's fellowship NanoComposites for Active Gas Encapsulation will focus on the development of experimental design strategies for new nanocomposite materials to address existing challenges in sustainable energies. The composite materials being developed (incorporating porous materials that can safely store fuel gases at exceedingly high densities and a responsive matrix which will be used for on-demand gas containment) will be used for storage of renewably-generated electricity and on board next-generation zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell or hybrid electric vehicles.
