Three students from the Queens School of Engineering participated in the first Airbus Group Airnovation Summer Academy recently held at TU Delft in the Netherlands.

The first edition of this exciting initiative was the flagship event of the Airbus Group University Partner Programme (AGUPP) in cooperation with TU Delft (one of the 20 AGUPP partner universities). Fourty students, representing seventeen nationalities were selected from AGUPP universities around the world to attend.

Over the week, teams of students worked with mentors and experts to innovate aerospace concepts, building on their technical and professional skills, before pitching their developed ideas in front of a high level jury. Designed to mirror a real-world technology accelerator, the Academy provided a unique opportunity for students to experience how innovation works within the ecosystem of a major aerospace company.
