Alessandro Grasso - 4th year Aerospace student who graduated in 2012 - has just won the Edmond Brun Silver Medal award sponsored by the "L'association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France" (AAAF) at the 63rd International Astronautical Congress in Naples for the work he did in his 4th year research project at the University of Bristol. 100 students from around the world submitted a paper to the conference and only 20 papers were accepted for the competition. For Alessandro to win Silver medal is a great achievement for him and for the University of Bristol. His paper was entitled: "An Ultra-Low Altitude Hyperspectral Micro-Satellite" and was supervised by Dr Lucy Berthoud. He is now on a scholarship at the International Space University in Strasbourg.
