Since 1976, National Instruments (NI) has equipped engineers with tools that accelerate productivity, innovation and discovery. This year NI selected Bristol as the venue for its RF & Communications Round Table.
Since 1976, National Instruments (NI) has equipped engineers with tools that accelerate productivity, innovation and discovery.
This year NI selected Bristol as the venue for its RF & Communications Round Table. This prestigious event was co-hosted with the University of Bristol’s Communication Systems & Networks Group. The CSN group is well-known for its world-leading research in wireless communication systems, such as WiFi and 3G/4G cellular.
NI’s round table brought together approximately 20 leading European researchers and educators, who are accelerating research in signal processing and microwave & communications system design.
The two-day event provided an opportunity to i) learn more about product roadmaps from NI, ii) network with academics and senior NI experts and iii) see demonstrations of the latest NI technologies.
NI used the event to show-case their graphical system design, which has been proven to accelerate research and provide a faster transition from research to commercialisation.
Professor Andrew Nix, Head of Bristol’s Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department said “this event has demonstrated the synergy between teaching, research and commercialisation. NI has shown how graphical design can be used to improve engineering education and attract more young people to the profession”.
