EngD in Composites Manufacture

The Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Composites Manufacture at the Industrial Doctorate Centre (IDC) in Composites Manufacture integrates an industry-based doctoral research project with research training in technical subjects and interdisciplinary skills. It focuses on key areas of advanced composites manufacturing which are vital to the UK’s major industrial sectors and offers high calibre graduates and early/mid-career professionals an excellent opportunity to become technical experts and business leaders of the future.

The EngD in Composites Manufacture is a four-year postgraduate research programme, delivered collaboratively by the University of Bristol (lead University), Cranfield University, the University of Manchester and the University of Nottingham. The IDC in Composites Manufacture is an integral activity of the Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub and provides Research Engineers access to cutting-edge equipment and expertise at the universities and at the National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol.
