Sophie Sladen studied MEng Engineering Design at Bristol University and she currently works as a consultant mechanical engineer at DCA Design International. Her talk will give an insight into what it is like to work as an engineer in a leading product design and development consultancy.

DCA employ over 120 staff covering all the core development skills including mechanical, electronic and software engineering. They have been ranked as the UK’s top product design consultancy for the past 11 years by Design Week, as well as winning multiple international design awards. The company works for a wide range of global brands, developing many of their most exciting, challenging and successful products in market sectors ranging from train interiors to drug injection devices.

The Inside Track Lecture series is aimed primarily at students - speakers from a range of industries will share their inside knowledge. All lectures will be followed by a Question & Answer session, a chance to meet the speaker(s) over drinks and a related LinkedIn discussion.
