CIBSE Guide A: Environmental design is the premier technical/reference source for designers and installers of building services, especially low energy and environmentally sustainable buildings. The eighth edition comprehensively updated its predecessor in the Summer of 2015.
 
Join CIBSE South West and YEN South West for the evening where three of the authors will cover:
 
- Key elements of the document - chapters in the guide cover individual aspects of environmental design and endorse how a holistic approach can achieve quality in building design.
 
-  With particular focus on Chapter 2 which reviews external design data with emphasis on the heat island effect and Chapter 5 which covers thermal design, plant sizing and energy conservation. 
 
- Each chapter incorporates the latest published research and recognised best design practice to ensure that environmental design engineers and installation engineers can practise at the forefront of their profession.
