Institute of Advanced Studies workshop

15 January 2015, 9.30 AM - 15 January 2015, 12.30 PM

Verdon-Smith Room, Royal Fort House

Is your research work relevant to spacecraft engineering, space science or space-based applications such as remote sensing? Last year the UK space sector grew by 9 percent!

We have recently received support from the Institute of Advanced Studies to run a series of cross-faculty workshops on ‘Space Research at the University of Bristol’ with the aims of:
  • establishing an overview of existing space-related research within UoB;
  • increasing our possibilities of accessing funding streams (from the European Space Agency, UK Space Agency, EU Horizon 2020, InnovateUK, EPSRC etc.);
  • raising the profile of space-related research internally and externally;
  • exploring the possibility of setting up a UoB CubeSat project.
The workshops are open to all university research staff.

First workshop:

Thursday January 15th 2015, 9:30-12:30 (sandwich lunch provided afterwards)

Two further workshops held later in the year, with invited speakers on UK space research strategy and funding opportunities, as well as educational CubeSat programs.

Please register your interest even if you cannot attend the first workshop.
