Digimakers - An introduction to 'making' in the digital world

Digimakers logoDigimakers goes from strength-to-strength as four more dates are released for the coming year. Students from the Merchant Venturers School of Engineering will be organising a series of workshops, aimed at children (aged 7-17) who are interested in learning about electronics and computing.

From hacking hardware to programming software students from the Merchant Venturers School of Engineering will be on hand to show young people how to have more fun with technology. Ten workshops are on offer aimed at a range of skill levels, from beginner to advanced.

In the past, workshops have used:

  • Raspberry Pi;
  • Arduino;
  • Lego Mindstorm;
  • game building;
  • app building; and
  • programming languages like Scratch, Python and Ruby on Rails.

Events will take place 10.30-4.30 @Bristol, Anchor Road, Bristol,BS1 5DB on the following dates:

  • 4 October 2014
  • 29 November 2014
  • 28 February 2015
  • 13 June 2015
