Bristol Bright Night
Explore, innovate, challenge and discover at Bristol Bright Night!
On Friday 26 September (12 pm - 12 am) Bristol Bright Night is set to bring the city streets to life with an exciting programme of free activities, offering the chance to discover the wealth of scientific research taking place on our doorstep, and the opportunity to meet the researchers responsible. From early afternoon into the evening Bristol’s Harbourside will host interactive activities including exhibitions at At-Bristol, talks at the Watershed and street performances.
Here’s a taste of what will be in store:
- Learn how to build a pedestrian bridge across Bristol Harbour
- Enjoy pop-up science theatre in the city streets
- Cook and eat with researchers while discussing how their work impacts on Bristolians’ daily life
- Find out about bugs that glow in the dark
- Robots vs Animals
A collaboration between Festival of Nature, University of Bristol and the University of the West of England, the event is part of the prestigious annual Europe-wide Researchers’ Night programme. European Researchers’ Night is funded by the EU Commission.
