Future Fast Aeroelastic Simulation Technology (FFAST) Workshop

6 March 2013, 9.00 AM - 6 March 2013, 9.00 AM

Venue: Engineers House
The FFAST project is funded by the European Commission’s FP7 initiative. The consortium consists of 14 partners including; five Universities, two SME's, five research organisations and two and larger industrial partners spread across Europe and South Africa. The project has been coordinated by Dr Ann Gaitonde (PI) and Dr Dorian Jones (CI) from the Department of Aerospace Engineering

Over the past 39 months the FFAST consortium has developed, implemented and assessed a range of numerical simulation technologies to accelerate the aircraft design process.

This workshop will showcase the final outcomes of the project and will focus on the following areas; critical loads identification, aerodynamic and aeroelastic reduced order modelling, hybrid reduced/high fidelity method and CFD for gusts.

To register interest in attending, please email: Sophie Ross-Smith by 15 February 2013.
