Workshop on bidding for Ministry of Defence research programme funding

If you are interested in applying for funding or working with DSTL, this workshop is your opportunity to discuss with DSTL staff the best way forward.
The Faculty of Engineering is hosting a workshop on bidding for Ministry of Defence (MOD) research programme funding, which will include a presentation from Professor David Oxenham of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) on:
  • how the University of Bristol can participate in the MOD research programme
  • how DSTL assesses research project bids and the characteristics of good proposals
  • forthcoming research funding opportunities

DSTL have around 20 research calls a year, typically valued at well over £1M each. There's also an annual call for the MOD PhDs programme, for funding for around 30 each year. Current priority interests and the type of calls can be seen on the following webpage
