Research summary

Dr Harina Amer Hamzah’s research focuses on the development of porous materials, particularly metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for sustainable energy applications. She is part of an EPSRC funded project; NanoComposites for Active Gas Encapsulation (nanoCAGE) which aims to develop smart composite materials for hydrogen storage on-board cars and other vehicles.

Biography

Harina obtained her first degree (BEng Applied Chemistry) from Saitama University, Japan in 2010. She then worked briefly at IBM before pursuing her MSc studies in Materials for Sustainable and Renewable Energies at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. She obtained her PhD from University of Bath in 2017. She is currently a Research Associate in the Advanced Composites Collaboration for Innovation and Science (ACCIS) at University of Bristol.
