Undergraduate summer projects
Simon Rankine is a fourth year student on the MEng Electronic and Communications Engineering course. His summer project mixes the world of electronic music with the technology of wifi. Singer-songwriter Imogen Heap uses tech-laden gloves for both recording and live performances. TwitALU - Twittithmetic Logic Unit
Jeremy Dalton and Jaimesh Mistry are in the fourth year of their MEng studies in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Together they have developed an Arithmetic Logic Unit that receives calculation requests via Twitter. The TwitALU will enable users to watch their requests being processed in real time by a large-scale model of a processor; making the calculation rhythmically audible and visually entertaining. RC Due - A new generation of open source RC vehicle controller
Rajesh Nakarja is a fourth year student on the MEng Electronic and Communications Engineering course. He has been developing an open-source RC (Radio Controlled) vehicle controller.
