Each year from November to mid-March, the Department provides a sequence of eight or nine visit days in which students who have been made an offer by us are invited to visit the Department for a day. Visit days generally take place every Wednesday during this period and applicants are invited to meet both staff and current students on the course, as well as to have a look round the department. Parents are welcome to attend.
A typical programme of the day is available to view and contains more detail for invitees.

The University provides a number of open days for prospective students wishing to visit. You will get the chance to meet academic staff, tour the facilities and the University as a whole, and see a range of presentations and exhibitions of what we do. Should you be unable to attend one of the University open days, tours for prospective students are also offered throughout the year, which are led by current students and organised centrally. If you cannot make one of those dates you are welcome to take a 'self-guided walking tour.'
Alternatively, you may wish to email Thomas.Moore@bristol.ac.uk to arrange a tour of the Faculty of Engineering. We regret we cannot accommodate visitors directly to our Department without prior appointments, and since all our academic staff are also active researchers, we cannot guarantee a chance to meet a staff member outside scheduled hours.
The procedure for visiting residences is that anyone wanting to view must contact the residence in advance to arrange an appointment.
