Earthquake Lab - photo by Timo KunkelThe dynamics and control research activity is located in Queens Building, the main engineering building at the University of Bristol. New Laboratory facilities were established in 2004 as part of the Bristol Laboratory For Advanced Dynamics Engineering (BLADE), providing laboratories for Automatic Control and Testing, Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. This was funded primarily from a Joint Infrastructure Bid of 15M pounds, with additional funding of around 5M pounds being provided by the University of Bristol. The resulting facilities are state-of-the-art and provide an excellent environment for world leading research. The facilities include:
