We are accepting applications now to start study for the MSc programmes starting on the 1st October 2012.

Due to the high demand, we advise applying as early as possible. Programmes may close due to high demand. Usually, we stop taking applications as of 1st July.
IELTS at least 6.5 in each element (writing, reading, listening and speaking)
OR
TOEFL with 5 in TWE = Paper based 600 (computer based 250, Internet based 100)
OR
Successful completion of the University of Bristol pre-sessional language course (at least 65% overall in the final assessment with no less than 65% in each component).
Language tests are not required from overseas students who have completed a full three year undergraduate degree in the UK.

The structure of the MSc programme is such that the second term builds on material covered in the first term. For this reason it is not possible to accept students on to the MSc programmes at Bristol except on the specified start date as detailed on the offer documentation.
The PhD programme can be started at any time of the year. A recent change in the method of fee payment has meant that a research student can begin their studies at the start of any month, subject to the supervisor's approval.

Yes. Simply include the grades you have achieved so far. If you are made an offer, you can send us your final grades when you have them.
No. However, if you already have results it would help if you included a copy in your online application.
As our syllabus is constantly changing our admissions requirements may also change. For this reason, we require you to re-apply the following year.
Afraid not. Our MSc programmes have a compulsory start date as specified on offer documentation.
Unfortunately, we are unable to store every application we receive so it is necessary to re-apply.
You are able to make a first and second choice for the programmes you would like to apply to. Please carefully consider your choice by studying the programme details found on our Master Programme descriptions, as a request to change your choice of programme at a later date may be refused.
