The programme is designed for students who wish to emphasise Finance and Economics subjects in their MSc programme. In the first term students receive an intensive introduction to economics, finance and accounting that prepares them for the more advanced units taught in the second term. The MSc is completed by a project-based dissertation.
Two options chosen from the Economics subject area, one option chosen from the Accounting subject area and one option from the Finance subject area.
Option availability subject to staffing and timetabling constraints.
The MSc is completed with a project-based dissertation of up to 15,000 words. A choice of dissertation subject areas is provided and students choose their specific topic from one of these broader areas. Many of the dissertations are literature-based and students are expected to acquire and use literature search skills using a range of electronic and traditional sources.
