The programme is designed for students who wish to put emphasis on finance and accounting topics in their graduate studies. In the first term students will receive a grounding in finance and accounting that will prepare them for the more advanced units taught in the second term. The MSc is completed by a project-based dissertation.
One option chosen from each of the key subject areas of accounting, finance and management and a fourth option from the whole range.

The MSc is completed with a project-based dissertation of up to 15,000 words. A choice of dissertation subject areas is provided and students choose their specific topic from one of these broader areas. Many of the dissertations are literature-based and students are expected to acquire and use literature search skills using a range of electronic and traditional sources.

A first or good upper second class degree from a UK University or the equivalent, with evidence of mathematical ability.
English language proficiency shown by one of the following:
IELTS = 6.5 in each element (writing, reading, listening and speaking)
OR
TOEFL with 5 in TWE = Paper based 600 (computer based 250, Internet based 100)
OR
Successful completion of the University of Bristol pre-sessional language course (65% overall in the final assessment with no less than 65% in each component).
Language tests are not required from overseas students who have already completed a three year undergraduate degree in the UK.
Note that this MSc does not require prior accounting and finance degree studies and is therefore not usually suitable for students who already hold a degree that focuses on these subjects.
