Katharina Burger is a Lecturer in Management in the Operations and Management Science Group.

Previously, Kat was Senior Lecturer in Project Management at the University of Portsmouth, which she joined after completing her PhD in Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol.

Kat has industry experience in Risk and Value Management of railway engineering projects and has completed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University of Leeds and a medical device manufacturer.

Research

Kat's research focuses on problem structuring methods interventions, video ethnography and the use of activity theory as a theory of practice.
