Bristol Econometric Study Group 2019

The conference will be held at the historic Engineers House.

4 July 2019

The Bristol Econometric Study Group is an annual conference bringing together a wide range of researchers from the UK, Europe and North America.

The Bristol Econometric Study Group had been held regularly until 2009 with ESRC support. After a short hiatus, Prof. Frank Windmeijer, Dr. David Pacini and Dr. Senay Sokullu restarted the annual Bristol conference in 2013. It now brings together a wide range of researchers from the UK, as well as Europe and North America.

Being a discipline of specialists, the Econometric Study Group is unique in the sense that it brings together econometricians from different research backgrounds, discussing the latest developments, which often form the building blocks for applied research.

It is a two-day conference without parallel sessions. Each year the number of attendees is around 40, including the speakers which makes the conference unique in terms of interactions between researchers.

This year's invited speakers are:
Marine Carrasco (Unversité de Montréal)
Andres Santos (UCLA)
Jeffrey Wooldridge (Michigan State)

We will be posting highlights following the conference and you can follow us on Twitter (@UoBrisEFM) for live updates throughout the day.
