We need your views – survey on menopause in the workplace – help us lift the taboo, and find solutions

Menopause, and its effects on people and their productivity in the workplace are still poorly understood, despite the fact that women make up 47% of the UK workforce. Women over 50 also make up the fastest growing group of workers in the UK. This group is crucial to the labour market, as a shortfall of more than 7 million workers is forecast.

Working together with The Open University, and the University of Leicester we produced a report 'The effects of menopause transition on women’s economic participation in the UK' for the Government Equality Office, to help shed light on the topic, try and lift the taboo and look at solutions that can be put in place at work.

Over the course of our research we have spoken to individuals, organisations and professionals, but now we need your help.

Please take 15 minutes to respond to this survey to feedback your thoughts, experiences and knowledge of menopause in the workplace. We're seeking input from men and women, from all walks of life.

Your views are vital to our research, so please do participate. The results from the survey will allow us to understand menopause issues in workplaces better, inform workplace change and support for anybody affected. We will also make an overview report of the findings publicly available via the channels used to distribute this survey.
