Tony Brewer Vice-President of ESHET

Professor Tony Brewer has been elected Vice-President of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought.

Professor Tony Brewer has been elected Vice-President of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought (ESHET). The ESHET President and Executive Committee are elected by postal ballot and will serve from 2008 to 2010. The President is Cristina Marcuzzo (University of Rome) and Professor Brewer was elected Vice-President by the Executive Committee.

Professor Brewer has published extensively in the history of economic thought including books on Marx and more recent contributions on Adam Smith and Alfred Marshall. His most recent research includes The Concept of an Agricultural Surplus, from Petty to Smith 2008 [PDF 139Kb], Adam Smith's stages of history 2008 [PDF 83Kb], and On the other (invisible) hand ... 2006 [PDF 180Kb].

Professor Brewer also maintains a set of web documents for the history of economics.
