Cherry Zhu, BSc Accounting and Finance

I moved to the UK two years prior to starting university, and studied A-levels in a boarding school here. The University of Bristol attracted me due to its reputation and the high quality of teaching.

I chose to study Accounting and Finance because I am interested in how the market allocates finance.

At the University of Bristol, whenever I have problems or difficulties, I can always find someone to talk to, and it is amazing to meet people from different countries and cultural background.

The City of Bristol has a lot to offer; I love the gardens, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, the restaurants, the museums and the weather. During the exam period, the weather was so nice, and there were lots of people lying on the lawns in front of the Wills Memorial Building, chatting, laughing and eating lunch.

In the next 5 years, I hope to find myself working in finance or other relevant fields, and I feel that my experience studying within the School of Economics, Finance and Management will give me the skills to make it possible.

For anyone considering coming to Bristol to study in the school of EFM, I would advise you to be prepared for the hard work, but you will have many opportunities to explore the beauty of the city.
