Under The Skin Exhibition, 10 March - 9 April 2016

14 March 2016

Dr Catherine Baker of Norwich University of the Arts is currently hosting an exhibition called Under The Skin, based on a residency she completed at CRICBristol.

Under The Skin will attempt to explore what it means to be able to use modern technology to view biological imagery, and the implications of doing so.

The exhibition is being held at the Ruskin Gallery at Anglia Ruskin University and will run until April 9.

It will include a talk by CRICBristol co-director Professor Iain Gilchrist, which will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, March 17.

Dr Baker's main research interests centre around the relationship between trees, pharmacology and well-being.

While at CRICBristol she used medical imaging techniques in order to construct a series of images of the Platanus Orientalis Digitata, otherwise known at the Hippocrates Tree.
