CRICBristol hosts new blood pressure study

15 April 2016

The University Hospitals Bristol CardioNomics group has begun a new blood pressure study at CRICBristol, which is looking for volunteers between the ages of 50 and 75.

The project will investigate the blood pressure response to exercise in people with normal blood pressure against people with high blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension.

‌Participants will be required to make two visits to CRICBristol:

Visit One: Screening and an exercise test on a static bike.

Visit Two: Further exercise tests involving handgrip exercise and one bike test.

If you think you might be eligible to take part in the study, and are keen to make a contribution to scientific work, please contact Benjamin Chant on 0117 342 1513, or at bc15666@bristol.ac.uk.
