CRICBristol celebrated its Official Opening on Monday 19th Sept 2011. Professor Lord Winston opened the centre, and met with researchers from the University of Bristol and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust to discuss their areas of research before having a tour of the unit and marking the occasion by unveiling a commemorative plaque. There were also presentations given by researchers using the CRICBristol facilities.

Professor Lord Winston said: “It is really important to see this collaboration between the NHS and the University.  Clinical research is a vital area of medicine and this new state-of-the-art centre will open up very exciting areas of research.  I am delighted to officially open CRICBristol.”
