Reflecting the growing scientific interest in the third sector, CMPO has been among the first to do rigorous empirical research in the area of pro-social behaviour. Our research addresses the following key questions: 'How effective are TSOs at providing public services?'. 'What contractual and co-ordination issues arise when there are multiple (mission orientated) agencies engaged in delivery, and how can these best be overcome?' and 'How important is pro-social behaviour in the delivery of public services, particularly by third sector providers?'
