Research Interests
Stephanie's main research interests are in health economics, with a particular focus on the economics of obesity. Her research looks at both potential causes and consequences of the recent rise in body weight. She studies the effects of obesity on cognitive and non-cognitive skills in children, as well as on their behaviour. Some of the potential causes of obesity that Stephanie's research examines include maternal employment, peer groups, and school meals. Another area of interest is in the use of genetic variants within economics research, specifically in a Mendelian randomization setup.
