Bristol Data Week 2023

5 June 2023, 10.00 AM - 9 June 2023, 8.00 PM

various venues around Bristol and online

Each year the University of Bristol's Jean Golding Institute runs Bristol Data Week, a week-long event of interactive talks, training, and workshops, open to all and completely free of charge. This year we will be holding a mix of events online and in-person, from training on how to use Python and R, inclusive data workshops and free networking lunches throughout the week.

Join the conversation with engaging scientists and local representatives to discover how communities could use data and AI like ChatGPT to tackle key issues including inclusivity, protecting the vulnerable, and climate change. AI and Data is all around us, from our smartphones to our supermarkets, but how can we use it for good? How do we use ChatGPT and other AI to create a fairer future for all? How can data from the past shape our future?

Explore these questions and more. Hear about the latest advances in Data Science, Data-intensive research, and Artificial Intelligence, with a diverse mix of inspiring speakers and interactive displays. Meet our speakers and mingle with guests during a complimentary networking lunch or sign up to one of the inclusive data workshops. There will be many opportunities to network, socialise and interact with the Bristol data and AI community.
