The aim of the event is to identify the key features of early phase cancer trials and how they differ from late phase in terms of set-up and delivery. This event also plans to educate sites on how they can successfully deliver early phase cancer trials and identify the key challenges they may face, and ways to overcome them.
This event is aimed at doctors, research nurses, researchers, research staff, clinical trials staff, patient and public involvement representatives and anyone that has an interest in early phase cancer trials.
Sessions include:
- What are early phase trials?
- Delivery of early phase trials from a research nurse/manager perspective
- NIHR and ECMC interface
- Patient perspectives
- A workshop into patient expectations and the consent process for early phase trials
