Modification of emotion perception as a potential treatment for psychiatric illness
Organised by the School of Social and Community Medicine. Speaker: Marcus Munafo - Professor of Biological Psychology, School of Experimental Psychology, University of Bristol
Identifying emotional states in others is central to successful social functioning, and biases in emotion perception have been reported in a range of psychopathologies. Marcus Munafo will discuss a range of experiments on healthy individuals with depressive symptoms, potential criminal offenders, and work into other domains, like autism spectrum disorders.
