The generosity shown by Bristol’s community of alumni and friends is inspirational. Your support enables ground-breaking research and the quest for new knowledge which improves the lives of our communities today, and can give future generations real hope. Thank you.
When you give to Bristol, you remind others of the importance of supporting higher education. Here’s a snapshot of our inspirational donor community:
Together, you’ve shown you understand how important it is to support learning and discovery at Bristol. You’ve provided students with the tools and opportunities they need to become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow. And you’ve helped advance vital research that is helping to tackle some of the world’s most urgent problems.
Close to 6,000 donors made a gift to Bristol in the 2015/16 academic year and the total cash received by the University came to more than £6 million.
Each year we recognise your continued generosity in our Donor Report (unless you have requested to remain anonymous). Your name in our donor listings further acts as a reminder to today’s students and researchers of your commitment to Bristol. They’ll be inspired to see how donors, like you, choose to give to the University, and they’ll learn how important gifts, like yours, are to the discoveries of the future.
Your regular support is hugely important. Your commitment helps the University plan more effectively and efficiently for the future, and ensures we are able to offer Bristol’s current and future students an enriching, educational experience.
From our £6 million total cash received in 2015/16, an astounding £1 million came from Bristol Pioneers – an inspirational group of donors who individually give generously in a single academic year. Your gifts help Bristol transform ideas into reality quickly and efficiently, and make a crucial difference in elevating Bristol's teaching and research to the next level. As a special thank you to our 2015/16 Bristol Pioneers, you will be honoured by name in the University’s flagship facility and student study centre Beacon House, a Grade II listed building on Clifton Triangle that was reopened in 2016 following a £12 million investment by the University.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again express our sincere thanks to all of you who have made a gift to Bristol. Together, your donations are pioneering ground-breaking research, solving problems and enriching lives. Thank you.
