Run the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon

Applications for one of our six Golden Bond places in the 2017 London Marathon are now open – we’re eager to hear why you want run to support cardiovascular research at Bristol.

How do I apply?

Use our online form. Applications close at 5 pm Friday 16 December.

How much money do I need to raise?

At least £2,000. The money you raise will go to support cardiovascular research at the University of Bristol. 

What support will I get?

How will the money I raise be spent?

After our cardiovascular researchers discuss how to achieve maximum impact with the funds raised, we’ll send you a letter outlining what projects will be supported.

How did last year's runners fare?

Five former and current Bristol students ran the Virgin Money London Marathon last year, and raised more than £11,500 for the University’s Cancer Research Fund. Find out what motivated them to take part and why the experience was so special to them.
