Managing your RDSF project users

RDSF standard projects access for University of Bristol users:

If you are a Data Steward or a Deputy Data Steward you can manage users and their access to your standard RDSF project.

To manage your users you should visit the data-bris management page for your RDSF Storage project:

  1. On the campus network or University VPN
  2. Visit https://data-bris.acrc.bris.ac.uk/projects/
  3. Select the RDSF project you need to amend.
  4. Click on 'Manage Users' and enter their username (or email address) under 'New Users', then press 'Save Changes' in the lower left.
  5. You can also remove users by deleting them saving your changes.
  6. A Data Steward can also promote users to be Deputy Data stewards.
 
It will take about 1 hour for the change to propagate before the new user would be able to access the storage.
 
Note that if a Data Steward change is needed for an RDSF project you will need to email rdsf-help@bristol.ac.uk to discuss and action this.
 
Collaboration projects for external collaborator access
 
Note to manage access to RDSF collaboration projects (for users external to University of Bristol) you need to have a collaboration project and to follow the collaboraton projects access management steps.
