Public involvement and engagement in dementia studies
We regularly invite patients, carers and other members of the public to advise us on our research.
Conversation, comment and craft
Public involvement in our dementia studies happens in many ways:
Conversations that enable researchers to hear from patients and carers about what it's like to live with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia, and to know what research matters most.
Comment and feedback at all stages of our research, from early ideas through to results, by talking together, reviewing documents or taking part in workshops and other events.
Craft - helping to design and shape our studies to make sure they are relevant and useful for those affected by MCI and dementia.
This is different to participating in research as a study volunteer participant.
