We are delighted to have benefited from a donation from the Heather Corrie Impact Fund to purchase an Olympus FV3000 Laser Scanning Confocal v3. This piece of equipment is vital to our research and will allow us to make important strides in dementia research by investigating the role of vascular dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease using fluorescent imaging of brain sections and live imaging using cell models of disease. Heather (BSc 1975) studied Geography at the University of Bristol, where she met David, her future husband. The Heather Corrie Impact Fund was established by David after she sadly passed away in 2020. We are honoured to be able to carry out this important work in dementia research in her memory.
