University of Bristol statements


On 9 April, the University joined City leaders in signing an open letter of support to the 21,000 EU citizens living and working and Bristol. 

The University is continuing to provide advice and support to staff regarding the EU Settlement Scheme, which moved out of the pilot phase on 30 March. The latest information is on the Settlement Scheme webpage.


The Home Office has launched its EU Settlement Scheme pilot for EU citizens and any non-EU family members of EU citizens working in the higher education sector. For more information, see our dedicated Settlement Scheme page.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hugh Brady, has written a letter to Chris Heaton-Harris MP (PDF, 113kB), in response to his widely-reported request for the names of all staff 'involved in the teaching of European affairs, with particular reference to Brexit', along with curriculum details.
