Overview

The European IDEA User conference is a biennial event, the 2012 conference was hosted by Centre d'Imagerie BioMédicale (CIBM) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The objectives of this conference are as follows:

• Provide a forum for representatives from various user groups to present and discuss problems encountered while utilizing the IDEA development environment along with unique and innovative solutions;
• Provide information about new and planned features of IDEA along with hands-on sessions;
• Strengthen the IDEA community while getting to know other IDEA users and provide a platform for closer collaboration between different IDEA user groups in the future.

Please note, that teaching the basics of IDEA programming lies outside the educational objectives of the meeting.

Scientists from Siemens Healthcare will be in attendance and will discuss new and planned features of the IDEA platform. In line with the previous meetings, participants will have a strong say in shaping a majority of the Conference program through proposed discussion topics and proposed papers to be presented. IDEA topics may also be discussed with the collective group of both Siemens experts and conferees. This year’s venue, Aldwich Court Farm & Vineyard, offers inspiring environment for relaxed and informal interaction between IDEA experts and users.
