Public involvement and engagement
At the Centre for Academic Primary Care (CAPC), we work with members of the public to help shape research in primary healthcare.
This means as well as recruiting members of the public to take part in research, we also involve them in decisions about how our research is designed, carried out, and shared.
We want everyone to feel welcome, included, and valued.
By working closely with patients and the public, we aim to make sure our research focuses on the issues that truly matter to different people and communities. This helps our work make a real difference to people’s lives.
Our approach is described in our Making Research Work for Everyone poster (PDF, 202kB) and strategy (PDF, 1,087kB).
