Biography
Dr Shuping Dang is interested in supervising highly self-motivated PhD students on research topics related to wireless communications and networking. A limited number of competitive scholarships are available all year round for nominating outstanding PhD applicants. Ideal PhD applicants for nomination should have proven track records, e.g., publications in IEEE Transactions, Letters, and/or flagship IEEE/ACM conferences. Prospective PhD applicants are welcome to get in touch by email to discuss research topics and funding opportunities.
Dr Shuping Dang received B.Eng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Manchester (with first class honors) and B.Eng in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2014 via a joint ‘2+2’ dual-degree program. He also received D.Phil in Engineering Science from University of Oxford in 2018. Dr. Dang joined in the R&D Center, Huanan Communication Co., Ltd. after graduating from University of Oxford and then working as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science and Engineering Division, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He is currently a Senior Lecturer with School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, University of Bristol. The research interests of Dr. Dang include 6G communications, wireless communications, wireless security, and machine learning for communications.
