Research interests
My PhD research focuses on understanding the impacts of reservoir operations on streamflow across Great Britain. My first chaper collated a series of hydrological signatures to identify where and how reservoirs are impacting streamflow (https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2022WR033893) whilst my current work is focused on incorporating reservoir representation into a national-scale hydrological model of Great Britain. The main aim of this is to improve large-scale streamflow prediction and process representation to help inform simulations of water availability. My NERC GW4+ PhD is industry funded with Wessex Water and as part of my project I have completed a placement at the water company.
