Runze Lin is a Researcher based at the Bristol Business School and the Bristol Hub for Gambling Harms Research. Uniquely bridging the gap between legal practice and academic inquiry, Runze is also a practising Solicitor of England & Wales and a registered Immigration Advisor.

Hailing from Nanjing, China, Runze is passionate about understanding how cultural backgrounds and new environments influence human behavior. His research focuses on population mobility and addiction, specifically examining how Chinese migrants navigate previously restricted activities—such as gambling and substance use—in more liberal settings.

His work aims to foster meaningful dialogue and contribute positively to public welfare and social understanding. Runze warmly welcomes collaboration and diverse perspectives from scholars across various fields
